The simulation results are analyzed taking into account the condition that the kinematics of the studied process is not affected by the properties of rheologically similar materials. Studies have shown that the mechanics of the reduction process is characterized by three sections in length. The use of regression analysis helped to obtain dependences that allow to calculate the values of deformation in hazardous areas depending on the relative tension and angle of the working tool. The appearance of defective features is observed on the axis of symmetry of the workpiece on the part of the application of external forces. At the same time, the reason is the presence of tensile stresses in this part of the workpiece.  The article presents plots of contact stresses, as well as the results of calculating the values of maximum contact stresses. Calculations were performed for a tool with an angle of inclination of the working surface 70 and different crimps. The analysis of the received data allows to select rational parameters of the tool and conditions of greasing. The dependences of recalculation of components of stress tensor, contact stresses for materials with similar rheology are received, which expands the scope of the obtained results for calculation of technological parameters of the workpiece reduction process from different structural materials.
