Publication Fees and Waivers

Information on Publication Fees (APC)

The Editorial Board of the journal "Materials Working by Pressure" adheres to an Open Access policy. To cover the costs of editorial and publishing services, layout design, DOI assignment, and website maintenance, the following rules have been established:

  • Publication Fee: The fee is 80 UAH per page of text formatted according to the journal's requirements. This payment covers editorial expenses, technical editing, DOI assignment, and support for the open access availability of the article.
  • Payment Terms: Authors are required to make the payment only after the manuscript has successfully passed the peer review process and received official confirmation of acceptance for publication. The editorial office does not charge a submission fee or a fee for the review process itself.
  • Open Access: All published articles become available for reading, downloading, and citing immediately upon the release of the issue, without any additional charges to the readers.
  •

Waivers for PhD Students (State-Funded)

The Editorial Board of "Materials Working by Pressure" introduces preferential publication terms for young scientists:

  • Waiver of Fees: PhD students (pursuing the third level of higher education) who are enrolled in state-funded (budget) programs are exempt from publication fees for their scientific articles in this journal.
  • Conditions for the Waiver: The article must be authored by the PhD student solely (without co-authors). To confirm eligibility for the waiver, the author must submit a certificate from the University's Postgraduate Department verifying their enrollment in a state-funded program.
  • Quality Standards: Articles submitted under the waiver policy undergo the standard peer review process. The exemption from payment does not imply any simplification of the requirements regarding the scientific quality of the manuscript.
