Editorial and Publishing Policies
Peer Review Process
All scientific manuscripts submitted to the journal "Materials Working by Pressure" undergo a mandatory Double-Blind Peer Review. This procedure ensures high scientific standards and objectivity in evaluation.
- Initial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief or Executive Secretary conducts an initial assessment of the manuscript to ensure it aligns with the journal's scope, meets formatting requirements, and passes an originality check (plagiarism screening).
- Assignment of Reviewers: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to two independent experts who hold doctoral degrees and are specialists in the subject matter of the article. The reviewers do not know the identities of the authors, and the authors do not know the identities of the reviewers (Double-Blind).
- Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers evaluate the relevance of the topic, scientific novelty, research methodology, validity of conclusions, and the quality of the references used.
- Review Timeline: The standard timeframe for the peer review process is between 2 to 4 weeks.
- Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' reports, the Editorial Board makes one of the following decisions:
- Accept for publication (without changes).
- Minor revision (requires minor corrections).
- Major revision (requires significant changes and a second round of review).
- Reject (if the article does not meet scientific standards or has unfixable flaws).
